things I have done this year.

Q. Name 1 thing I have learnt this year,
A.I have learnt how to build a rocket made out from plastic and a bicycle pump, Its so easy and  fun also we did it basically all term ,we were put into groups and had to discuss the safety rules and build our rockets.

Q. Name 1 thing I have enjoyed in school.
A. I have enjoyed writing and spelling because I find it my best activity at school, I am getting better at my spelling then last year also my hand writing is looking much better.


Q. Name 1 thing you could get better  at school.
A. I think I could get better at my maths because i'm not the greatest at my division and 9 times but I am getting better and better.

Finding Matariki

to find Matariki all you need is tracking,first look for star called Mahutonga which is on the north east next look keep looking east then You will find Henetakurua the winter star (also the brightest star in the sky),then in the same direction you will find another star shaped as a anchor called Tauro next you look across and then you will see Punga if you keep look in that same direction you will see Tautora next you will find Metekorutoru  if you look just look a bit down then you will find a bunch of stars and that is Matariki if you have a microscope you will be able to see them clearly.

Revolution Tour

on Monday 27 of May we came into are school hall and a group of people came to our school called Revolution,
as we were waiting in the hall, loud music was playing as everyone slowly got settled into there seat the music starts to turn off.Then a man came out called Ben as he starts to talk and introduces himself everyone starts to be quiet then Ben says some words then a dance computation happens there was only six constants doing it and one could win then Ben says some jokes and quotes one of the quotes was we make a living from hat we get we make a life from what we give. after we some singing happens from a group of girls then Ben starts to says story to finish it off we took a big photo then we walked back to are classes.
my favourite part of the day was the singing and dancing and my favourite story was about a boy called Nathan.

The Science Road Show.

 On the Friday 8 march, We had a science road show they had all sort of little shows they all were really cool I thought the Hydraulic vs Pneumatic was the best you had to push down on the red buttons with all your strength it was really cool.

My act of kindness I would aim for is...

This year I am going to aim for working with anyone in the class.

The big ceremony

On Monday 11th of March a big ceremony happened for the ss Otaki .We all sat down on chairs outside and waited  soon after music started to play and we saw some very important people walk through. Soon Whaea Maharata  started to sing a waiata.

Then we sang some songs and played the New Zealand national anthem,after we sat down and waited soon after Matua Andy stood up on the stand and said some words.And then most of the visitors said some words.

After some kids came to the front with the special visitors and gave them a reef then they would put the reef on a stand or by the statue of the ss Otaki .Then bowed there heads down and waited for like 3 secondes and then it was the next persons turn.

Now its was right about the end and we all stood up and waited all quietly and let someone play music and watched the flag get pulled half way then stood in complete silence.Then when the flag we all the way up to the top the music played again.And all the visitors walked into the staff room to have a cup of tea and the was the end of the big ceremony.

my favourite part of the day was listening to the music,one thing I learnt about the ceramony was learning all about the ss Otaki.

Today my class and I learn't were to put full stops capital letters and pronunciation in the right spots.We also played a game with words,the are main goal was we had to make as meany sentences as we could make we only had five minutes.After we had a game we started to write sentences like what goes in the right place then we all packed up and it was pretty fun.
